Rear Brake to Left Handlebar Conversion Kit – Zero FX / FXS

NYA Parts has put together a complete kit to enable you to convert your Zero FX from having a foot operated rear brake, to having it on your left handlebar where a clutch would normally be. This kit includes everything needed to do the conversion, other than the brake fluid, for which you can then choose your own.

The kit includes;

Master Cylinder – Rectangle 70mm X 48mm in black
Braided brake line from master cylinder to ABS pump
Banjo bolt
Copper washers
Brake light switch wiring

Why would you want to move the brake on to the handlebar? – You get a lot more feel for the brakes when using your gloved hand rather than your foot stuck in a leather boot with a thick sole on it. This gives you greater control over the bike. It also gives you the ability to sit with your feet wherever you want on the pegs so it can provide a more comfortable ride. No hovering with your foot ready to get on the rear brake. It is also an excellent upgrade when riding off road as it makes operating the rear brake when you are stood on the pegs, or fighting for balance, a breeze.

Photos show the kit fitted to our Zero FX “Black-Ops” Special Edition. Note that is fitting this to a Zero FXS the kit will fit, but the master cylinders wont match as well as the FXS uses a different style front brake master cylinder.
